MASTER PETER VASS

Peter Vass has trained in martial arts since the age of 8 and attained his 1st Dan Black Belt at the age of 12. Since then he has received his 4th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, and has continued to train in Thai Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over 20 years.

Peter has competed in over 200 competitions in Taekwondo, Muay Thai Kick Boxing, full contact Karate and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at a national and international level. He has received extensive competition experience across the world. Some of his many achievements include three times ISKA World Cup Grand Champion, shadow team member for the Taekwondo Olympic Team in Beijing and Athens. He has also made the Australian national team seeing him travel to Denmark, Spain, Cyprus, Malaysia (winning Gold in the Malaysian Open Championships, and Gold at the Oceania Championships), China, Korea and Thailand to compete. In 2015, Peter won Gold at the Australian National Team Trials, and as a result won the privilege to represent Australian once again at the World Championships in Russia.

Peter has competed and won numerous demonstration competitions including International Martial Arts Spectacular and ISKA International Championships, displaying his XMA (Xtreme Martial Arts) and weapons skills amongst Australia’s most elite martial artists.

In 2015 he now gets his satisfaction from seeing his students succeed. He is a successful trainer and coach to many competitive fighters. He conducts classes in Kick Boxing, Boxing and Taekwondo. He has mentored many victorious students and has watched them grow and increase their skills with determination leading them to achieve many NSW, Australian and International titles. He was awarded Instructor of the Year and inducted into the ISKA Hall of Fame in 2013. As a sports taekwondo coach, he has coached alongside Olympic coach Ali Khalil and helped shape and condition Australia’s Taekwondo athletes of tomorrow – most recently, coaching cadets to Gold and Bronze medals at the 2015 Australian Open.

Martial Arts is a major part of Peter’s life and it is evident in all of his classes. His inspiring qualities encourage students to practice physical and mental strength increasing each individual’s self-confidence, discipline and well-being. Peter is continually increasing his martial arts skills by attending numerous seminars with some of the world’s best martial artists.
