"Boxing is a passion of mine, that I have been involved in since I was 10 years old.

 

My parents encouraged boxing at a young age as it is a great form of discipline, health and fitness and for self-defence. Since then I’ve taken part in over 40 fights.

I'm Santoz, I'm 30 years old and I've been training in the art of Muay Thai since i was 15 and additionally boxing for the last 2 years. 

My focus is on improving my client's technique, power and stamina. These attributes will not only help to improve skill sets within martial arts, but also skills that can improve overall quality of life.

 

I spent 2 years in the military and during that time, learnt strength and conditioning tactics that I implement  within my sessions for strength and confidence building. 

 

I have been obsessed with martial arts since childhood, and this has translated into genuinely enjoying my own training, and others. 

I believe that physical training is a very important part of life, it not only creates a stronger version of a person, but more importantly it creates a mentally sound mind. This teaches a person to tackle life's challenges in a more objective manner.

 

I am a firm believer in this theory and believe anyone can benefit from any form of physical training and particularly martial arts.

 

Above all else, i absolutely love witnessing my clients evolve into a more confident version of themselves.

 

 

FAVOURITE TYPE OF TRAINING 

If I am with a partner then there's nothing better than pad work. Specifically with a trainer who has an in depth knowledge of footwork and distance management. However if I am by myself then I would challenge myself to go multiple rounds on the heavy bag with explosive bodyweight training, e.g. jump squats in between the rounds.

WHY I STARTED 

I was unfit and working in an office for quite a few years, I started putting on weight and not feeling confident about myself. After a holiday in Thailand and watching Muay Thai while i was there, i grew an interest in not only the Martial Art but the honour behind it. When I came back I wanted to get fit and learn more about the sport. I joined a Muay Thai gym and before I knew it, I was addicted.

 

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT MARTIAL ARTS

Martial arts is not only great for fitness, but also is great for your mind. I believe it's a great way to keep your mind active along with improving yourself, and your endurance.
